Mexico City, Mexico - Leading peasant networks in Asia, Africa and Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) gathered last April 17 in Mexico City to agree on a continuing coordination towards the formation of a Global Peasant Coordination. The meeting aimed at creating a common platform that will pull collaborative regional actions in the global level and form a strengthened coordination mechanism among regional and sub-regional farmers’ networks advancing the peasants’ interest and advocacy for food sovereignty amidst the struggles on hunger and poverty crises.
